Why You Should Outsource Blog Writing for Your Business
You know blogging is good for your business. You’ve read the stats that 71 percent of B2B customers read blogs at some point on their buying journey, and 60 percent of people will make a purchase after reading a blog post about the product or service.
But you also know just how time-consuming it can be to write one blog post (averaging around 4 hours depending on the length, topic, and writer). As a business owner, you’re constantly out of time, and blogs are often the first thing to get scrapped from your to-do list.
This is the story I hear from clients all the time. Blogging is important and needs to be done right. But they don’t have the time personally to manage blogs, and they can’t justify paying a full-time staffer.
This exact scenario is why I created People First Content. Our business offers entrepreneurs and small businesses an opportunity to outsource blog writing without sacrificing quality. At the same time, it employs writers who have the job security they need to entirely focus on each article they write rather than trying to quickly get a blog posted so they can move on to the next gig.

5 Reasons To Outsource Blog Writing
These are the top reasons you should consider outsourcing your blogs to writing professionals.
1. Free up time
Just because you’re good at writing doesn’t mean you can sacrifice time away from other aspects of your business to manage your company blog.
The main thing our clients lack is time. Many are great writers who just don’t have the time to put their thoughts into a well-organized, SEO-optimized blog post. Others just don’t like to write. Whatever your situation is, hiring someone to write blog posts for you will free up valuable time for you.

2. Save on in-house costs
At some point, your company may grow enough to justify hiring an in-house writing team. But, until then, outsourcing writing services is a great way to save on costs.
In addition to saving on overhead, benefits, and a salary, outsourcing your blog writing means you can scale up and down as needed while still getting high-quality white label content on your site regularly.
3. Get fresh perspectives
Maybe you’ve hit a point where you’re out of new things to say about your brand, products, and services. This is an excellent time to look for fresh perspectives.
Working with an agency means you’ll get an entire team of professional writers taking another look at your website and industry to come up with new topics or angles your audience will love.
4. Stay on top of the latest SEO updates
If you don’t have time to blog, you likely also don’t have time to keep up with every new Google algorithm update. Do you know who does? Your blogging agency. This is our entire job, which means we dedicate time to keeping up with the latest SEO updates and trends.
The result is that your blog content is always optimized to increase your chances of ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs).
5. Keep up with your competitors
Your competitors are also outsourcing their blogs to somebody. So, don’t feel like you’re failing because you can’t generate two 1,000-word blog posts a week. They don’t have time for it either!
Outsourcing your business blog is the easiest and fastest way to get fresh content on your website so you can get more traffic and rank higher in search results.
How To Find Outsourced Blog Writers
Now that you’re on board with why you should outsource your blog writing, let’s talk about how to find writers.
You have a few options. To get more detailed ideas, download our free Guide to Great Content.
1. Hire a freelancer
Considering that millions of freelance writers are working in the world right now, it should be a piece of cake to find one, right?
Well, not exactly. See, there are no actual guidelines in place to sort out the quality freelancers from everyone else. Anyone can call themselves a freelancer, even if they don’t have great writing skills or speak your language. Some freelance writers will just copy and paste text from a bunch of random sites and call it a blog post. Others rely too heavily on AI writing tools to deliver content that doesn’t sound human.
So, if you’re going to take the freelance route, be sure to get writing samples first. And don’t go with the cheapest option unless you are OK getting sub-par work back.
Finally, if you find a freelancer you really like, don’t get too comfortable. Speaking as someone who freelanced off and on for years in between semesters of grad school, freelance writers often are only doing this to keep the lights on until a full-time job offer comes in.
2. Work with an agency
This is our preferred option, and it’s why I started People First Content in the first place! When you work with a content agency, you get a dedicated team of professional writers who can help you come up with ideas, then write and publish SEO-optimized blog posts that make people and search engines equally happy.
It’s like having your own in-house team without the overhead. Plus, you get the flexibility of scaling up or down as your business needs change. If you have more significant marketing needs, you may consider working with a full-fledged marketing agency. If you only need content, look for an agency specializing in B2B content writing.
3. Hire someone in house
As a writer, I love the idea of companies having in-house writing teams. It’s why I only hire in-house employees, not freelancers.
However, this isn’t always the most practical option, especially for small businesses. In addition to being more expensive, it can be difficult for in-house writers to get the training and experience they need to continue growing in their craft. It’s also a lot more difficult to scale down an in-house team.
